I am always proud to be a mother, a wife and most importantly, a woman. I was born in a beautiful and modern city- Shanghai. It was called “The far eastern Paris†in the past. As I grew up, I began to think of my future and one day when I was 21 years old, I decided to go to Japan. I wanted to see the world; I wanted to learn about a different culture and a different language; I wanted to have a wonderful life. So I went to Japan and began to study Japanese. Then I decided to go to University again in Japan, and my major was international economics. At the same time, I took the accounting course at a college because I have much interest in it when I studied finance at university. After finishing studying at University, I began to work for the Japanese accounting firm until 2001. Later I found Shanghai had changed a lot and it’s time for me to go back to contribute myself to my beautiful city.
After returning home, I continued to work for Japanese companies such as Toyota, Toshiba, and the last one was Hitachi. I was C.F.O of Hitachi digital products corporation in China. And I was responsible for both manufacturing and sales companies back then.
In 2011, my husband and I decided to come to Canada. We hope our daughter Cindy becomes an independent woman in the future and we think that going abroad is the best way to achieve it, just like we used to be.
In 2014, I became the owner of Brentwood on the Beach. Brentwood is the beginning of my second adventure in foreign country. It’s different from the first time when I was in Japan. If I say time in Japan made me become a capable and confident businesswoman, I believe time in Canada will make me become a real woman that can contribute to my family, to my community and to the whole society. I would say it’s my dream coming true, because when I was a little girl, I dreamed to become a useful person in the world.
